discussie

Central tail feathers found at a park where there are both rose-ringed and alexandrine parakeets. Largest one is 30cm, smallest is 22cm. I was wondering if they’re from both species or just one.. (There are rose-ringed parakeet feathers in there for sure because they’re more common)

the alexandrine feathers I have are more yellow-green

I’ve heard that alexandrines have longer tail feathers because of their larger size so i was thinking alexandrine for the one to the left. I’ve seen images of alexandrines with almost entirely blue centrals in the wild (like this https://dk-media.s3.amazonaws.com/AA/AJ/alexhaven/images/12502122/huge/Violet_Alex_Hen2.jpg), so i don’t think color really matters 100% when it comes to id fot that species.
