I found these feathers a few days ago in the city, I am almost sure they belong to a house sparrow, but I realised they have that kind of iridescence. Is it normal? I had never seen that before.

Close, but not close enough! They’re from a young sayaca tanager, the most common tanager species in Asunciòn. Post any other feathers here if you’ve got any not-so-sure ids, there is a huge variety of birds in South America! Feathers can be easily misidentified!
